Lounge at 4 p.m. Non-participant guests may attend the
party for $10 per person.

p.m. in the ski lodge, and the rally is from 1 to 3 p.m.
Cost is $10 per person (children 12 and under are free).
Westmoreland Ski Club co-sponsors this event with Johnstown
Ski Club, and we still need a few WSC volunteers
to help with registration or distributing clues on the
mountain. Please contact Jack if you can help out (and you also get free admission to the party).

Sat., Mar 3, 2012 Annual WPSC Council Cup
This is an inter-club event that is open to any ski
club member who can snowplow down Avalanche! It’s a
single run Giant Slalom and teams consist of 7 or more
racers from a ski club, with a minimum of 5 males and 2
females per team. If two or more clubs have insufficient
racers to form their own team, they may combine their
racers and form a consolidated team. As often happens,
this event coincides with the WSC ski trip—our Telluride
trippers will just be coming home on this date, which depletes
our number of potential racers. But if you’re not
going on the trip, please consider joining a combined club
team for this fun race.
Registration is at the ski lodge from 8 till 10 a.m.
with the race at 11:30 a.m. This event is open to ski club
members only, and WSC will pay the $10 registration fee
for any of our members. An awards party will be held at
the Matterhorn Lounge from 4 till 6 p.m., and winners
must be present to receive prizes.
Hopefully, we’ll have more snow in February so
we can take advantage of these events.
